I bought it and have since repaired or replaced the following: 1. hydro-boost brake unit, 2. all power steering hoses, 3. complete tune-up including a thorough valve adjustment, 4. air conditioning pressure hose, 5. Upgraded thrust arm bushings, 6. idler arm, 7. rebuilt the transmission, and many other countless odds and ends. It is a work still in progress but I haven't regretted it.

The car is fitted with bilstein sport shocks, clarion speakers, and clarion head unit. I have had extensive work done on the car. The suspension has new bushings and front control arms. The engine received a new camshaft, timing chain parts, rocker shafts, hoses, seals,belts, fluids, and the shift linkage was also essentially rebuilt. There is also a new stock type ansa exhaust system, front swaybar, radiator, and a headgasket. The a.c. compressor was fixed and the core was recharged. I also had the front end repainted to resolve the problem of extensive stone dings and wear which were caused by the first owner's habit of driving the car back and forth from VA to California. That activity is the main culprit in the car's high mileage. I am the third owner. The second lived in D.C. If you have any more questions or advice about the production date please write me. This project will be done over the winter. I am unsure of the 'close ration 5 speed.' It has a stick but I doubt the 'close ratio,' as in 5th at 65mph it sits at 2000 rpm. Thank you for the email. This car has been a real treat to own over the past 6 years. I purchased it at 95,000 miles, and nursed it through mid-life crisis. Since then, however, it has been almost trouble free and a kick to drive. After meeting a deer in the dark at 70 mph about 5 weeks ago I have been struggling with rebuilding the car or giving it to a 25 year old son who would take over the project. It looks at this time as if I will be fixing the body work and a repaint over the winter. It is a little sad, as the limited slip makes this a very good winter highway car.
